St. Saviour’s is a truly special place. Founded over 9 years ago, St. Saviour’s is family centred and Christ centred. It is our mission to provide Christ centred education and share God’s love and message with as many families as we can.

Our Staff

Led by Program Supervisor, Teacher Lorraine, all staff at St. Saviours” are practicing Christians who faithfully attend various Christian denominations in the Lower Mainland.

Our Philosophy

St. Saviour’s Christian Preschool maintains that Christian education is essential for the children of Christian parents, and that Christian education should begin from the moment of birth and continue until the child is old enough to be responsible for him or herself. The child first learns at home from his or her parents, until the child is ready to be placed in the hands of other, responsible, Christian teachers.

The Christian preschool is part of the foundation upon which the whole education of the child is built, and must reflect and uphold the beliefs and values held by the parents and the church. Therefore, what is upheld and taught by the church is upheld and taught by the family, and what is upheld and taught by the family is upheld and taught in the school. Thus, we have the three-fold cord which is hardly broken (Ecclesiastes 4:12)

We feel that a sound preschool program should provide each child with the opportunity to develop spiritually, intellectually, socially, and emotionally in the way that God has designed him or her. Each child is unique – a special and precious creation of God. Each child has his or her own special gifts and talents, and these must be allowed to grow and to develop in the way that God has planned.

In order for a child to develop spiritually, intellectually, socially, and emotionally, as God wills, the child must learn in an environment where he or she feels loved, accepted, and cared for; where he or she is encouraged and supported; and where Christian standards of behaviour are followed. Only when there is order and loving guidance, can the child develop to his or her full potential.
